How do I get in touch?

How do I find you?

What are your opening hours?
Our normal opening hours are 9am - 10pm every day, until 11pm on Friday and Saturdays. Food is served 9am - 9pm. Breakfast hours are 9am - 10:30am. In the winter we may adjust these hours.
Do you have parking?
No, but we are two minutes walk from Stock Lane car park. At the weekend and during school holidays, you can park on Grasmere Primary School playground, which is right next door to us.
Can we buy your beer to takeaway?
We sometimes sell it in 8.8 pint small kegs - please ask at the bar. We are the only place you can buy it. We also have our three kinds of gin and our vodka in beautiful bottles to purchase!
How close are you to Grasmere village?
We are in the village! Very near to Grasmere church and famous Gingerbread shop.
Are you dog-friendly?
Yes! Inside and out.

Do you show sports?
No, sorry we do not. Try The Unicorn in Ambleside.
Do you serve local food?
Yes, we are proud of our fantastic Cumbrian food. For example, our lamb is from Herdwick sheep born and bred in Grasmere, at Will Benson’s Town Head Farm in Grasmere.
Do you serve local beer?
Yes! We are the tap-room for Grasmere Brewery. Our beer is brewed less than 100m away in some former farm buildings.
What beers do you have?
We have serve a changing seasonal selection, but house staples include Helles Lager, Pale Ale, Bitter, IPA and Apple Cider.
Do you serve local gin?
Grasmere Brewery distil a delicious gin from scratch, and from that make their own range of gin liqueurs. It is available to enjoy in the pub with fever-tree tonics, and to buy by the bottle to take home with you. We also make vodka, again from scratch.
Do you serve wine & spirits?
Yes, we have a selection of other drinks available.
Do you serve tea, coffee, cakes & scones?
Yes we have local tea & coffee, & homemade cakes. We don't serve scones!
Do you have options for people who have allergies, or are vegetarian or vegan?
Of course! We have plenty of choice for vegetarians, vegans, people who are gluten free as well as choices for those with other dietary requirements.
Do you have live music?
No, try The Lily in Ambleside!
Do you have disabled access?
Our outside terrace is step-free, but there are two steps to get into the building.

Yes! Have a look at our rooms at Lake View Country House, just a few minutes away from The Good Sport.
